FAQ

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is a 14-hour event where attendees create hardware and software projects. They are good places to meet new people and learn many new technologies, APIs, and SDKs.

Who can attend?

Anyone in high school can attend this event.

What if I can't code?

No problem! We have great workshops and mentors available so you can turn your project idea into a reality.

How much does it cost?

Zero! This event is completely free, including food, drinks, and prizes.

What should I bring?

Make sure to bring a school ID, a laptop, and a charger. However, if you do not have a laptop, the venue will have iMacs with preloaded software available for you to use.

How big are the teams?

Teams can be up to 4 people. If you don't have a team, don't worry! We have a team mixer at the start of the event to help you find teammates.

Is there a Code of Conduct?

Yes. All attendees are required to abide by the MLH Code of Conduct, which can be found here.

I have other questions.
